We had declared war on terrorism shortly after the attacks which lead to our involvement in multiple wars in the Middle-East in an effort to eliminate terrorism and spread democracy to prevent terrorism. Along the way we also wanted to spread democracy to nations still under dictatorship, like Iraq, to prevent the fostering of terrorism. By doing so he wanted to create some laws that would give the United States the ability to support Europe without getting involved right into the war, but still roped the United States somewhat into the war. One way for states to limit these costs is to avoid admitting they are in a formal state of war by refraining from declaring war. In the end, the controversy surrounding war would be significantly reduced if the government either followed the Constitution or made a few changes to the war declaring policy contained…. She wants to keep the alliances we have already formed and take on new challenges together.
